Revonate (“Revonate”, “we”, or “us”) provides a platform that enables general contractors to manage financial transactions with homeowners (the “Platform”) and a website that describes our services and allows general contractors to communicate with us about the Platform (the “Site”). Use of our Platform and Site is governed by our Terms of Service and any other applicable agreements with our business customers.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information from general contractors that we collect via our Platform and any information we collect on our Site. 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information about homeowners that we handle on behalf of our general contractor customers. If you are a homeowner and your general contractor uses our Platform, please contact your general contractor directly for any questions about your personal information. 

Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide. We collect the following categories of personal information that you may provide to us:

• Contact details, such as your full name, email, phone number, mailing addresses, and login credentials. 
• Authentication information, such as your construction license, government identification, insurance information, and other proof of your right to work. 
• Banking, expense and transactional data, including information needed to complete and manage your orders and transactions on or through the Platform (including bank account number, billing information).  
• Communications and support tickets, including when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise.
• Marketing data, such as your preferences for receiving our marketing communications, and details about your engagement with them.

Third party sources. We may combine personal information we receive from you with personal information we obtain from other sources, such as:

• Third parties, such as data providers, identity verification services, and others.
• Public sources, such as social media platforms like LinkedIn.

Automatic data collection. We automatically log information about you, your mobile device, and your interaction over time with our Platform and Site, and our communications with you, using cookies and other similar technologies, such as pixel tags, web beacons, and software development kits. We collect the following categories of information:

• Online activity data, such as pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and duration of access[ and whether you have opened our emails or clicked links within them].
• Device data, such as your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, browser version, screen resolution, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers (including identifiers used for advertising purposes), language settings, and general location information (derived from IP address) such as city, state or geographic area. 

How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes or as otherwise described at the time of collection:

To provide, support, administer, and improve the Platform and Site, including to:

• Process your payments and complete transactions with you;
• Communicate with you about the Platform, including by sending announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages;
• Understand your needs and interests, and personalize your experience with the Platform and our communications; and
• Provide support for the Platform and Site, and respond to your requests, questions and feedback. 

Research, development and benchmarking. We may use personal information for research and development purposes, including to analyze and improve the Site and our Platform, identify usage trends, and operate and expand our business activities. As part of these activities, we may also create aggregated, anonymized, or other de-identified data to analyze and improve our Site and Platform, to create benchmarking on the construction industry, and to promote our business. 

Marketing and advertising, including for:

• Direct marketing. We may send you direct marketing communications as permitted by law, including, but not limited to, sending newsletters, and notifying you of special promotions, offers and events via mail, email, telephone, text message, and other means. 
• Interest-based advertising. We engage our advertising partners, including third party advertising companies and social media companies, to advertise our services. You can opt-out of interest-based advertising as described in the ‘Your Choices’ section below. 

Compliance and protection, including to:

• Protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims);
• Audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies;
• Enforce the terms and conditions that govern our Site and the Platform; and
• Prevent, identify, investigate and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity, including cyberattacks and identity theft.

To comply with applicable laws, including , lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities.

How We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with the following parties and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection:

Service providers. Companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Site or our business (such as hosting, information technology, customer support, email delivery, and analytics services).

Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.

Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the compliance and protection purposes described above.

Business transferees. Acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations for such transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, Revonate (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).

Aggregated and anonymized information. We may share aggregated and anonymized information, including benchmarking statistics about the construction industry, derived from information we collect from you and other customers, with our advertising partners and other customers. This information does not include information that identifies or is traceable to you or any of your customers.

Your Choices

Access, correct or delete information. To learn more about the information we collect about you, or to ask us to update or delete information about you, please contact us as specified below. We will take reasonable steps to help you with your request, but we may not be able to update or delete information that we need to continue to provide services to you and others, to protect our rights and the rights of others, and to comply with our legal obligations. 

Opt out of marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing-related communications by following the opt out or unsubscribe instructions contained in the marketing communication we send you.

Online tracking opt out. There are a number of ways to opt out of having your online activity and device data collected through our website(s), which we have summarized below:

• Blocking cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies, including cookies used for interest-based advertising. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. • Blocking advertising ID use in your mobile settings. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device for interest-based advertising purposes.
• Using privacy plug-ins or browsers. You can block our websites from setting cookies used for interest-based ads by using a browser with privacy features, like Brave, or installing browser plugins like Privacy Badger, Ghostery, or uBlock Origin, and configuring them to block third party cookies/trackers. • Advertising industry opt out tools. You can also use these opt out options to limit use of your information for interest-based advertising by participating companies:

Note that because these opt out mechanisms are specific to the device or browser on which they are exercised, so you will need to opt out on every browser and device that you use.

Security

We employ a number of technical, organizational and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, no security measures are failsafe and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

Children

We do not intentionally collect information from children under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from children under the age of 18 through the Site or Platform, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy and posting it on the Site. If required by law we will also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via email.
